On 1 July, Sweden took over the Presidency of the European Union. Big challenges lie ahead for the EU: the economy, the environment and more. On VATSIM, the challenges this autumn have been of a different nature: to land safely in busy traffic in Stockholm, finding apron space at the small airport in Växjö and coping with Swedish autumn weather in Göteborg.
On 19 November, the last EU Presidency event will be held in Malmö (ESMS).

Malmö is Sweden’s third largest city, with 270 000 inhabitants. On 18-20 November, the informal meeting of ministers responsible for e-government and a conference on e-government will be held in Malmö.
