ENNA - Lakselv Banak

Lakselv Airport, Banak was first built as a gravel field by the military in 1938 and was expanded by the German occupying forces during the second world war. It was then neglected between 1951 and 1963 when it was refurbished using NATO fund and reopened. Today, Banak is both a military and a civillian airport with well over 50 000 passengers yearly. It's the northenmost airport on the European mainland able to support jet aircrafts such as Boeing 737. Scheduled destinations from Banak includes Tromsø, Kirkenes, Alta and a summer route to Oslo. Even a few charter airlines operate from Banak.

  • No ILS on runway 17, LLZ only
